The longest-running touring music festival in North America, Vans Warped Tour started its first trek across the United States in 1995. The travelling festival began life as the Warped Tour; an eclectic alternative rock festival, but in 1996 began focusing on punk rock music and was renamed the Vans Warped Tour when skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became its main sponsor.
