Hey there - mountain men and women of Scranton! How ya doing out there all my ski enthusiasts who love to shred the gnar here in Scranton! Y’all ready for a crazy weekend binger filled with music, friends, drinks galore, and a whole lot of MORE winter activities - don’t worry, we got a whole day of frosty breaths and faceplants in the snow for all you who are still novice to the winter grind. But don’t worry - we’ll warm you up with some music and hot cocoa too! Right here for Mountainfest days one and two!
Montage Mountainfest! The ONLY place in the city that you can go to play winter games and see all your favorite DJs and friends play - you gotta check this one out over the whole two days! Right here on March 6th and Saturday the 7th : get ready for some late winter play!
Tickets are on sale NOW and you can get yours right here folks. Y’all know what to do - invite the crew, and don’t forget your skis!
It’s official y’all — winter is HERE (well - it’s been here for awhile now) - the snow is still stacking, and our home here on the Montage Mountain is about to turn ALLLLL the way up as we welcome back one of the East Coast’s wildest cold-season throwdowns: Montage Mountainfest 2026. Perched right over Scranton with the frosty Pocono views, ridges, and a ton of reasons to play over our two-day party : basically what we’re saying is, it's your annual permission slip and slide all over the course like its the best snow-day of our lives. And this year? We’re going bigger, louder, icier, and crazier than ever. So whether you’re a day-one shredder, a party-on-the-slopes omnly type, or you're just pulling up to participate as all the chaos unfolds (in costume, obviously), welcome home. Winter is about to get FUN.
Since the beginning, Mountainfest has been the place where winter games meet festival energy — a true collision of snow sports, live music, daredevil nonsense, and every flavor of après-ski madness. It’s where you’ll find cardboard sleds built like pirate ships flying down the mountain. It’s where grown adults in wigs and neon snowsuits attempt pond-skimming like it’s the Olympics of ridiculousness right next to their kiddos. And it’s where thousands of people come together in the cold to warm up with music, fireworks, and straight-up euphoria… but maybe that’s only because our faces are so cold. Either way, we’re into it!
And trust the lineup is STACKED this year. On Friday, March 6th, the festival kicks off with Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic, a legendary downhill spectacle that defies physics and good judgment in the best way possible. After that, the mountain flips into full nostalgia-mode with The M80’s, serving “The World’s Largest 80’s Party” all night long on the slopes. Think big hair, big hits, and big energy as you dance in the snow. Then on Saturday, March 7th, we gear up for the main event: Wheatus hitting the stage first with all the early-2000s emo-rock teen dreams, followed by the kings of sunny alt-pop themselves — Sugar Ray — headlining the evening as fireworks light up the slopes behind them.
Lift tickets? Optional. Snow gear? Yeah. you’re def gonna need that. Vibes? Absolutely and always guaranteed. Whether you're here to shred, skim, sled, or sing - or all three! - you’re not gonna wanna miss this weekend with all your besties. Bundle up, lock in your passes, and we’ll see you on the mountain. Let’s snow - uhhhh, we mean party!
